Katie plays three sports currently; softball, golf and track. In softball she is primarily a pitcher and also plays short stop. Her current team is the 12U Lady Bandits travel softball team out of Tampa, Florida and the 12U Lady Bandits Maine team in the summer. She is also registered to play for the Panama National Softball team once she reaches age 16. She is a member of the Jr. PGA and plays for the Ace Golf program in the Tampa area. Katie also runs track, specializing in the 50, 100, 200 and 400 for the PBYSA track program located in Pensacola, FL.
Katie is currently a 6th grade student who prides herself on her academics. Currently she has not missed a day of school or been tardy a single day for the past 6 and 1/2 years of school.
Katie was born in Panama and holds dual U.S. and Panamanian citizenship. She is fluent in both English and Spanish.
Katie founded the 501(c)3 non-profit organization Katie Jane Rocks, Inc., with her father in 2018. This organization helps support children in need in 3 countries; USA, Panama, Colombia. Katie also has written a children's book "Children of the world, God loves you," that supports her non-profit. As part of her non-profit mission "Katie Jane Rocks Kindness Rocks" have been placed all over the world by supporters.
Katie wears the number 40 on her sports uniforms in honor of former NFL player Pat Tillman.
